Update

Think I got bored with a blog ----- will try again, maybe.
I had a DVT a few weeks ago, so painful I went to the A&E and the doctor misdiagnosed it as
an infection. I went to my GP who correctly diagnosed it and now I'm on a course of Warfarin
just stopped using crutches cos I couldn't put any weight on my bad leg!

19th DEC

It is a bit cold at the moment - about -4C, I know it's all relative though.

I've joined the gym now, if I go slightly more than twice a week then it will
be cheaper than paying for each visit. Last time I went I pushed myself a bit
so I'm doing a bit more than when I first went.
On the treadmill I'm only walking about 3-3.5 Km/hr (a speed suggested by
the instructor), pisses me off a bit when someone on the next machine
is running and hardly working up a sweat - mind you only half my age.

went out yesterday for a 1hr walk, with my camera, Photos below............

gym

Went for a 12 week review at the gym.
3 kg up in 6 weeks !! on my waist !!
Well looks like I'll have to do more excercising then.
I'll probably take up membership to the gym - will need to go on average just over twice a week
to make it worth a membership fee

Got the shoulder pulley, bloody hell it hurts - on the web seems like a frozen shoulder can take
maybe 12 mths to sort out.

Hosp

Not much happened lately.
Went to hospital yesterday, had a 1st appointment at physiotherapy.
Was diagnosed with frozen shoulder. Shit, I'm a walking wreck.
Anyway the order of the day is excercise, so I've been given an excercise sheet
and I've sent off for a "Shoulder pulley" - should be fun.

I've got an appointment at the gym this afternoon. It's the 12 week
assesment to see how I'v gone on. I don't really feel much different really.

30 Nov

Been to gym again, decided it was too cold to go out on bike
and heres a pic to prove it >>>>>>>>>>
I'm on a BEATS program
thats ...   Bury's Exercise And Therapy Scheme, you get a personal exercise program
worked out for you, tailored to your medical history and visits to the gym at a discount.
Quite good really. If I'd looked after my health for the last 40 odd years
and NOT SMOKED I wouldn't have had my heart attack. (Probably)

I've smoked since I was about 15 so thats  nearly 50 years,
10's of thousands of pounds I guess
Well I've not had one since my MI, a fag that is.
1 - My wife would kill me anyway :)
    2 - Couldn't afford it !!!!!!!
